The First National Championship in School History!
In 2024, I achieved the biggest accomplishment of my career to date as I traveled with Northeast's men's soccer team throughout the entire length of the 2024 NJCAA DII Men's Soccer Championship in Huntsville, Alabama and after laying the groundwork for four seasons during my time at Northeast, we were able to secure the national title for the first time in school history!
Being there on site for administrative support and to create content was an amazing experience as we were able to highlight the greatest athletic achievement in the history of our school. Every detail, from having a national championship logo ready, working with the local photographers in Alabama, having a close-knit relationship with our local newspaper to be on the front page the next morning, receiving a declaration from our mayor and the city of Norfolk, having a police escort when we arrived back to our home city, pushing out championship merchandise and even ordering championship rings were a testament to the relationships that I have been lucky enough to build throughout my career. There were many coaches, administrators, parents and fans who helped make it all possible!

Having this experience will be one that I will always be able to look back on as one that has prepared me for anything that may come up in the future, and I am also extremely proud to be forever known as a national champion!

Here are some images from our celebrations!

I worked with our local newspaper and other outlets in our area to make sure we had coverage throughout the week-long tournament, culminating in the promotion of the national championship! Our campus was also extremely plugged into my coverage our of championship run and they along with our community came out in huge number when we arrived back on campus!

The championship celebration from the field and the winning speech from Coach Potter!

More celebrations from the field and the team bus!

Here's video from our police escort on the way back to campus!
Here is a sampling of some of the graphics I put out throughout our championship run!

I also helped put together our championship merchandise and championship rings!

When we arrived back in Norfolk, the Mayor of Norfolk gave the team a declaration of the city!

College President Dr. Leah Barrett, our coaches, athletic director, student-athletes and myself were on hand to receive the honor.

We developed a donor campaign to travel around town to local businesses who are athletic boosters to capitalize on the momentum of the national title in an effort to raise more money.

We even received recognition on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, D.C.

Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen also wished the team luck along the way, which can be found below:

The overall experience of everything that went into winning and promoting the national title felt like a culmination of all of my work to date and the knowledge gained throughout this journey will be invaluable throughout the rest of my career.
