Social Media

Upon arrival at Northeast Community College, I led an effort to launch eight different sports-specific Twitter accounts, a TikTok account and a rebrand of our current Facebook and Instagram feeds. Our Instagram had under 500 followers when I took over the account and now sits at over 4,500 followers. All accounts are run solely by myself and feature engaging content that aims to highlight the accomplishments of our incredible student-athletes, coaches and staff.

Our growth on social media has helped garner national attention for our school and has become a fantastic recruiting tool for prospective student-athletes. I am ecstatic to have given a platform to promote our college and I'm even more humbled by the opportunity to highlight the incredible work that everyone in our department contributes to on a daily basis.

Combined, our social media feeds have currently cultivated the most followers in our conference after starting from essentially scratch four years ago. I am especially proud that the content I have put out is cutting edge and at times never before seen at our level. Over the course of five national tournaments, I have been able to put out more behind-the-scenes content than any other school at these national events, which is fantastic for highlighting the season-long efforts of our student-athletes. 

My work has received national recognition, which you on the "Awards" tab, and I have great pride in building relationships with coaches, student-athletes and administrators to make it all possible.

In the spring of 2024, a coach within our conference came up to me and complimented my work and stated that our social media feeds are the best in our conference. This coach has won the league and his program was at one time ranked No. 1 nationally. It brings me immense pride knowing others around the league view our athletic program and our college as a whole in such a positive light. I have the privilege every day of highlighting all of the amazing accolades that occur within our department. and I certainly don't take that opportunity lightly.
